Behavior & Mindset

Betrayal is one of the most painful of the human experiences.

Think about it. This was the person, or these were the people who gave you a sense of safety and security. So when this is the person or these are the people to shatter that sense of safety, security is traumatizing.

Some people will betray and they’re just on to the next. They’re not willing or capable of having that level of empathy to realize the damage that’s been caused. When it comes to those types of betrayers, there’s very little to work with here. At this time, they’re not ready, willing or able to change and grow.

There are other betrayers however, that as much as it is a shakeup to the person who’s been betrayed. It’s as big of a shake up to the betrayer. They realize what the heck did I just do? I just lost the very person who’s counting on me and trusting in me and believing in me. I shattered the heart and the trust of the very people I love the most. For these betrayers, the choices they made that led to the damage that’s been caused has completely woken them up. It’s as if the fog has cleared and they now see things so clearly. It’s as if that one catastrophic moment of realization opened up their eyes to something they’ve never been able to see before. It doesn’t excuse or justify their actions, but for this betrayer, they’re ready, willing and able to change.

If that’s you I am having a Rebuild workshop tomorrow, where you will learn how to rebuild all of the qualities you need to become the person you’re ready to become. We’ll talk about: How do you bounce back from something like that? How do you make it right? If you have that golden opportunity for reconciliation, how do you go about that? What do you do? What not to say to the person you hurt? What should you say to begin rebuilding trust? And what are all the aspects you need to move through in order to do this so you never made those choices.

How do you “fix” and heal this? How do you bounce back even better? We’ll be diving into it so you can start to make this right and do something really good with something really painful. Register now for the Rebuild Workshop and I’ll see you tomorrow, September 7th at 6pmEST. Even if you can’t make it, register and you’ll receive the recording. See you there.
