Happy National Forgiveness Day!

I couldn’t be more proud and honored to be the founder of National Forgiveness Day, recognized by National Day Calendar and celebrated yearly on Sept. 1st (tomorrow!) It’s a day to let go of the power all the pain has over you from something or someone.
Yes, you’re justified, right, you’ve been duped, blindsided, deceived and more…and that story is keeping you stuck. This has nothing to do with rebuilding, reconciling or setting yourself up for something similar to happen again. This has to do with valuing yourself enough to let it go for your sake.

What you can do about it:

There’s a way to do it and let us help you. Starting today, I’m hosting a 21 day forgiveness journey. This is one of those things where seeing others let go of the tight grip of resentment may just inspire you to do the same. More about it here and please share with anyone struggling to forgive.

Going forward:

People eat turkey on Thanksgiving, they see if Punxsutawney Phil will let us know if we’ll have another 6 weeks of winter, people open gifts on Christmas Day, people watch the ball drop in NYC to celebrate New Year’s Eve and of course, there are countless other examples based on your culture and so much more.

So, in celebration of National Forgiveness Day (today) founded last year by The PBT (Post Betrayal Transformation) Institute, what food, tradition, action, special greeting or gesture would you like to see each year?

Please comment below and let’s see how we can further recognize and celebrate this important day!
